The Full N4 Path
N4 is not just vocabulary: kana, N5 kanji/vocabulary, N4 kanji, N4 vocabulary, then grammar and reading. Review each step on a forgetting curve and do not start too many decks at once.
Order
KanaDojo, KanjiN5, KanjiN4.
N4 vocabulary (this site), then N4 grammar/reading.
Time
Twenty to thirty minutes a day for three to six months.
Due reviews come first.
FAQ
Vocabulary or grammar first?
In parallel; vocabulary supplies examples and grammar turns them into sentences.
Is N4 enough for travel?
Enough for basic situations; speaking still needs listening and output practice.
